A couple of top teams have crashed out of the FA Cup in the fourth round following their disappointing defeats. Like Paul Ince said before the Manchester United game, the FA Cup is all about giant-killing.

This is because the big sides are likely to weaken their team against the teams from lower divisions and sometimes, it backfires.

Below are the list of teams that crashed out of the FA Cup in the fourth round.

Arsenal: The Gunners lost 1-0 to reigning champions, Manchester City, on Friday night at the Etihad Stadium. Both sides weakened their squads but eventually, the best team won.

Liverpool: The Reds crashed out of the FA Cup after they lost 2-1 in the dying minutes against Brighton & Hove Albion. Liverpool are out of every competition except the Champions League.

Blackpool crashed out of the competition following a 2-1 defeat to Southampton away from home.

West Bromich Albion: The Baggies are done with the FA Cup after they got outclassed 3-0 by Bristol City away from home.

Walsall: The lower division got eliminated from the FA Cup after a tight 1-0 defeat at home to Premier League outfits Leicester City.

Preston North End: After a huge 3-0 home defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, the Championship side are out of the FA Cup.

Stevenage: Following a 3-1 defeat to Stoke City away from home, Stevenage joined the long list of teams that have crashed out of this season’s FA Cup.

Accrington Stanley: Despite their fine performance against Leeds United, they succumbed to a 3-1 defeat to Leeds at home on Saturday and are out of the competition.
