The Sixers and free agent James Harden will meet next weekend to discuss a contract extension.
Harden became a Philadelphia 76ers player before the deadline as a result of a trade with the Brooklyn Nets. He turned down a $47.3 million player option at the end of June for a 22/23 season.
Harden’s decision allowed the 76ers to negotiate the signings of P.J. Tucker, Danuel House and Trevelin Quinn.
In 21 games for the Sixers, the guard averaged 21.0 points, 10.5 assists, 7.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals.
