Chelsea legend, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, has urged Owner Todd Boehly to sign Tottenham Hotspur’s Harry Kane in the summer transfer window.
The English striker has been subject to widespread media speculation of a potential summer move to Manchester United, but Hasselbaink seems not to be bothered about United’s interest.
“Chelsea will have to be creative and find a different way to accommodate that position [centre-forward],” Hasselbaink told Safe Betting Sites.
“The only person you could go and get who is that type of player who will strengthen Chelsea in that position is Harry Kane. If I was in charge, I would go after him.
He added, “I know he is 29, but at the end of the season, he’ll only have one or two years left on his contract. I don’t think that he would cost £100m this summer.”
“He’ll definitely be a massive addition to this Chelsea side” Hasselbaink said.
The Blues’ owner Todd Boehly has been very busy in the transfer market this winter with six signings already added to the Chelsea fold and a couple of names already being mentioned as potential additions before the January transfer deadline.
Chelsea will have to battle Man United for Kane’s signature with the Red Devils already linked heavily with the 29 year-old and with greater prospects of Champions League football next season.
