Premier League icon Alan Shearer has expressed a firm belief that it is time for Manchester United to bid farewell to Anthony Martial during the upcoming summer transfer window.

With a distinguished playing career that includes stints at Newcastle United and representing the English national team, Shearer’s opinion holds significant weight in the footballing world.

Speaking candidly, Shearer asserts that Martial has been afforded numerous opportunities to prove himself at the illustrious Manchester United, but has regrettably failed to capitalize on those chances. Consequently, he asserts that the time has come for the club to make the sensible decision to offload the French forward.

According to Shearer,

“There is no need for Manchester United to deliberate over Martial’s future any longer, as the decision should have already been made or at the very least should be imminent.”

Shearer further emphasizes that Martial’s extended tenure at the club, coupled with multiple opportunities to impress, has not yielded the desired results. In his expert analysis, Shearer concludes that Martial’s capabilities fall short of what is required to propel Manchester United to their desired level of success.

The former striker elaborates, stating,

“If Martial possessed the necessary quality, he would be a regular starter in the team and consistently contributing goals. However, it is evident that his time at the club has not lived up to expectations, in my professional opinion.”

Shearer’s viewpoint raises an important question regarding Martial’s long-term prospects at Manchester United. With his remarks, the Premier League legend lends credence to the notion that the club’s best course of action would be to initiate a transfer involving the French forward.
