Juventus Midfielder Weston Mckennie has reportedly rejected a move to Aston Villa as he’s said to be holding out for a move to Chelsea amongst other clubs.
According to sources close to the situation, Juventus midfielder Weston McKennie has rejected a move to Premier League side Aston Villa as he awaits an offer from Chelsea, Tottenham, or Borussia Dortmund.
McKennie, who impressed during the recent World Cup with the US national team, may be seeking a move away from Juventus with the return of Paul Pogba to the club’s midfield.
Corriere dello sport reports that McKennie would prefer a move to Dortmund over Chelsea or Tottenham, potentially due to their league positions. With Chelsea’s recent transfer spending and the potential contract expirations of Jorginho and N’Golo Kante in the summer, the signing of a midfielder could be a priority for the London club.
The 24 years old Midfielder joined Juventus from Schakle 04 initially on loan in the summer of 2020 before making the deal permanent in 2021.
As the January transfer window draws to a close, it will be interesting to see which team ultimately makes a move for the talented young American.
