Arsenal midfielder Albert Sambi Lokonga has shed light on his ambitions to secure regular first-team football next season, casting doubt on his future at the Emirates Stadium.

Having spent a portion of the previous campaign on loan at Crystal Palace, Lokonga struggled to leave a lasting impression, subsequently diminishing his prospects of becoming a staple in Mikel Arteta’s side in the near future.

Initially touted as an exciting prospect upon his arrival from Anderlecht two years ago, Lokonga’s Premier League journey has yet to reach its full potential. As the summer transfer window approaches, the 23-year-old seems eager to explore alternative opportunities to reinvigorate his career.

While the exact course of action remains uncertain—whether through a loan move or a permanent departure—Lokonga has unequivocally expressed his intention to seek a destination where he can garner consistent playing time.

During an interview with Wonhee Hyung on YouTube Channel , the Belgian international candidly stated,

“I am uncertain at the moment. I will make an effort to secure a move where I can feature prominently. Ultimately, my primary objective is to partake in regular matches and gain momentum.”

Despite Arsenal boasting a formidable midfield lineup last season, recent reports from reputable journalist Fabrizio Romano indicate that the club is on the verge of completing a move for Declan Rice. Such a development would further strengthen an already impressive midfield roster.
