Roland Garros’ new sponsor, the Renault automobile company, has launched a charity initiative for the tournament.
The social program is called “Give me five” and is aimed to popularize tennis across France. Its essence is that for each hit of the tennis players in the cable during the Roland Garros matches the sponsor pays € 100 to the special fund.
This money will be used to reconstruct or build new courts in Paris for children who want to play tennis.
Recall that the main stage of the Roland Garros began on May 22 in Paris. A total of 256 tennis players take part in the men’s and women’s tournaments. This year the prize fund of the competition is € 43,600,000.
