Roberto De Zerbi has expressed his amicable stance towards Leandro Trossard, ahead of the winger’s reunion with his former coach as Brighton takes on Arsenal. Trossard played a pivotal role in Brighton’s impressive start to the season under Graham Potter, and he continued to thrive under De Zerbi’s guidance.

Trossard’s reputation soared as he delivered a stunning hat-trick in a thrilling 3-3 draw against Liverpool at Anfield, marking De Zerbi’s first match in charge. The Belgian international’s exceptional performances persisted until the break for the World Cup in December.

The transfer saga surrounding Trossard was finally resolved when Arsenal agreed to pay Brighton an initial sum of £25 million for the 28-year-old, after failing to secure the signing of Mykhailo Mudryk.
