Gabriel Jesus was eager to join Chelsea during the summer transfer window, according to a report from The Athletic.
The Brazilian star has been heavily linked with the move away from Manchester City during the summer transfer window.
A number of clubs were interested in the attacker’s services, including Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham as well as Real Madrid, and Juventus.
The Athletic report claims the Blues owners advocated a move for Jesus but Thomas Tuchel didn’t want to have any additions up front.
A few days later, Tuchel changed his mind about getting a new striker. However, Jesus ended up joining Mikel Arteta’s side.
