Real Madrid is still searching for long-term midfield solutions despite their recent signings of Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga and have reportedly identified Ac Milan’s Sandro Tonali.
According to a report from MadridUniversal, Spanish giants Real Madrid are reportedly still on the hunt for a long-term solution in their midfield, despite the recent high-profile signings of Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga.
The Spanish media outlet cites the aging nature of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric as the reason for Los Blancos’ search, and states that Sandro Tonali of Ac-Milan is seen as a potential option for the summer transfer window.
While the name of Birmingham City starlet Jude Bellingham continues to be mentioned in regards to a move to the Santiago Bernabeu, Real Madrid are said to be considering a backup plan in case the Englishman opts for a return to the Premier League. Tonali, with his strong ties to AC Milan and recent contract renewal, may well be the player they turn to.
However, Tonali’s deep-rooted affection for his boyhood club makes it uncertain as to whether he would entertain the idea of a move to Madrid.
