The former Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has retired from playing football.
Former Tottenham and Real Madrid forward Gareth Bale has announced that he retired from professional football at 33.
Bale is regarded as one of the best British players, thanks to what he achieved during his time at Real Madrid, Tottenham and other clubs.
The 33-year-old returned to Spurs on a loan deal after six years in the 2020/2021 season during Jose Mourinho’s time and created more memories. He scored 11 goals in 20 league matches before he returned to Real Madrid at the end of the season.
Among other memories he created, Bale won the following trophies;
5 Champions League title
3 La Liga
1 Copa del Rey
3 UEFA Super Cup
4 Club World Cup
3 Supercopa de España
1 EFL Cup
3 MLS trophies
The Major Super League was the last league Bale played for and Los Angeles FC was the previous football club that hired him for his services.
This also means he has retired from international duty and the 2022 Qatar World Cup was the last competition he had with Wales.
Bale said: “Thanks to all my former clubs, it’s time for the next stage of my life”.
