Former footballer Gabby Agbonlahor has praised Kevin De Bruyne for his ability to create brilliant moments even when his teammates make unrealistic runs.
De Bruyne has had an excellent season and was recently included in FIFA’s Premier League Team of the Season. He has been very productive, scoring 10 goals and providing 27 assists across all competitions. Although he had a slow start to the season, the £54 million player has reached another level in recent months.
During a video for talkSPORT, Agbonlahor was asked to name his dream 5-a-side team and immediately chose De Bruyne as his midfielder, highlighting his admiration for the Belgian’s talent.
“I just feel like if I played with someone like De Bruyne, the runs you could make. I liked to get through on goal and with someone like him picking the ball up you could make any run,” he said.
“These City players make unrealistic runs where the ball really shouldn’t find you, De Bruyne will make it happen, he will make the ball find you,” the pundit added.
