Following a demoralizing 4-1 defeat against Manchester City just over a week ago, Arsenal appeared to be on the brink of despair. However, two consecutive wins against formidable opponents, Chelsea and Nottingham Forest, have reignited a sense of optimism within the Gunners’ camp.

Undoubtedly, the reigning champions have showcased remarkable resilience in recent weeks. Yet, their upcoming fixture at Goodison Park on Sunday, nestled between a crucial Champions League semi-final clash against Real Madrid, presents a potential stumbling block fraught with danger.

Even so, if Arsenal were to falter and drop points against a Brighton side that undoubtedly seeks redemption after a devastating 5-1 loss to Everton earlier this week, their title ambitions would likely be shattered by the time they journey to the City Ground on May 20.

In their quest for Premier League survival, Nottingham Forest took a significant stride forward with a scintillating 4-3 victory over relegation-bound Southampton in their most recent outing. However, Morgan Gibbs-White, who played a pivotal role in securing that crucial win, remains cautious and refuses to take anything for granted.

“It’s an arduous task when you consider our remaining fixtures, but our team stands united,”

Gibbs-White expressed in an interview with Sky Sports.

“We approach each remaining game with determination and hope to secure a positive result at Stamford Bridge. Ideally, by the time we face Arsenal, their title aspirations would have diminished.”

Arsenal’s recent resurgence has provided a glimmer of hope in what has been a challenging season for the North London club.
