Rational Intellectual Holdings, subsidiary of Amaya Gaming has acquired several domains for the new bookmaker: betstars.com, betstars.net and betstars.co.uk.

BetStars.com was a bookie run by UK-licensed WilsonBet, but the company decided to reduce its Internet presence and switch to accepting bets by phone calls. The purchase price was not disclosed. Domains betstars.net and betstars.co.uk cost the owner of the PokerStars $10,000 and $2,177 respectively. Betstars.de was estimated at almost two thousand dollars.

Pundits say that such activity by Amaya Gaming indicates the imminent launch of a standalone bookmaker. Earlier in March, Rational Group began accepting bets via PokerStars.com.

Earlier AmayaGaming announced the release of sports fantasy. The company has acquired a platform for sports online gaming Victiv.
