Midfielder Paul Pogba could miss World Cup-2022 because of a knee injury.
The footballer injured his right knee at a training session at his new club. The Frenchman was then found to have a meniscus injury, for which it was reported he could miss two months.
However, the injury could turn out to be more serious.
La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Fabiana Della Valle says the Frenchman risks missing the rest of 2022 and will not recover from the injury until early 2023.
In that case, Pogba will not play for France at the 2022 World Cup.
It is reported that the player is consulting with experts and looking for the fastest way to recover. He has refused to have surgery.
