Pep Guardiola has revealed he has no regrets of selling Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus to Arsenal.
The Manchester City duo joined the Gunners last summer and established themselves as key players in Mikel Arteta’s squad.
Arsenal are currently leading the Premier League table, five points ahead of City. They are also competing in the FA Cup and are set to face Guardiola’s team in the fourth round on Friday evening.
Ahead of the meeting, Guardiola met the media, and during the press conference, he was asked whether selling their pair was a good decision.
“Why not? Ah, because they are winning? My friend… Aleks and Gabriel have been amazing with #ManCity, incredible respect as persons and players. Of course we want to beat them,” the manager said.
“I’m more than delighted, because the players, both clubs agree. Many times Aleks could leave and he wanted to stay. Gabriel the same, we agreed. Arsenal wanted him… It’s going well for them, congratulations,” he added.
