Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has reacted to Riyad Mahrez’s penalty miss against Borussia Dortmund.
City played a goalless draw with the Bundesliga giants in the group stage of the Champions League.
Guardiola’s side were given the chance to open the score in the second half of the game, however, Mahrez’s net was saved by Dortmund keeper Stefan Ortega.
Penalty misses have always been a problem for City, and the manager now admits they need to improve in order to compete with the rival teams at high level.
“Of course it’s a problem, since I was here we miss 25 penalties, most in CL. Not good enough…” he said, via City Xtra.
“Always I admire the courage, but we miss a lot. We have to improve, otherwise the little details or margins in this competition makes the difference.”
