Manchester City faced Brentford in the Premier League on Monday and celebrated a 1-0 win.

Erling Haaland scored the only goal of the game as City celebrated a victory.

De Bruyne started the game on the bench and didn’t feature during the fixture.

Following the win, Pep Guardiola revealed why he didn’t start De Bruyne against the Bees.

“De Bruyne has “niggles” in his hamstring but it’s all good, he’s fine,” said Guardiola.

“I just didn’t want to take any risk with him… he’s ok, he just told the doctors he was not feeling 100% and we did not want to risk anything”.
