Pep Guardiola has opened up on his relationship with Mikel Arteta ahead of Manchester City’s upcoming game against Arsenal.
The two sides are set to face each other in the Premier League on Wednesday evening. They are currently in the run for the league title, with the Gunners being just five points ahead of the Citizens.
Guardiola and Arteta have previously worked together at Manchester City before the Spaniard’s move to Arsenal as their next head coach.
“The relationship has changed because he’s in London and I’m in Manchester, we don’t see each other as often,” Guardiola said when being asked about Arteta.
“He’s busy and I’m busy — but the affection and respect I have with him will remain forever,” the City boss added.
