Patrice Evra has made a worrying claim about Arsenal’s chances to win the Premier League title. He thinks the Gunners “don’t have the bench” to compete in this marathon.
Arsenal are currently leading the Premier League table with 27 points, four points ahead of the defending champions Manchester City.
Evra believes that Mikel Arteta’s side would need to bring new players during the January transfer window in order to win the title race.
“The league isn’t a sprint, it’s a marathon. My worry is that they [Arsenal] don’t have the bench. I hope, in January, that they are going to buy more players. If you want to challenge for the league,” the pundit told Henry on Amazon Prime Sport.
Ex-Gunners star interrupted, saying: “You hope? You want them to win the league, then?”
Evra responded: “What did you say? Pardon?” Then he jokingly walked away and returned back, adding: “If they win the league, the way they start, then well done.”
