Garth Crooks has shared his high praise for Ben White, claiming the defender showed outstanding performance against Crystal Palace.
Gunners celebrated a 4 – 1 victory over the Eagles in the Premier League on Sunday.
Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Granit Xhaka scored the winning goals for their side yo secure three points. As a result, Mikel Arteta’s side are now leading the domestic league, eight points clear of Manchester City.
White played an important role in Arsenal’s defence against Palace, and Crooks was impressed by his display.
“This was an outstanding performance. Wilfried Zaha was restricted to one moment, when his effort was pushed onto the post by Aaron Ramsdale, but that was the last we saw of him. The Ivorian spent the rest of the game in White’s pocket,” the pundit wrote in his BBC column.
