Former world #1 racket, Japanese tennis player Naomi Osaka jokingly commented on the draw of the French Open tennis tournament.
Osaka will face American Amanda Anisimova, whom she lost in the last Australian Open, in the first round.
“Wim Fissette said to me, ‘You’re playing with Anisimova.’ And I said, “You’re kidding, right?” I’m not saying I don’t want to play with her. I’m the kind of person that a previous defeat only motivates me more. And that match taught me a lot.
In fact, a few days ago I had a dream that I fell to Iga Swiatek in the first round. Now that was scary. I wondered which option would be the worst and I immediately remembered her. Thank God it didn’t happen,” Osaka said at the tournament press conference.

“I had a dream a couple days ago that the draw came out, and I had to play Iga. Like for me, I was scared because I was thinking, what’s the worst possible player to play when I’m unseeded. She came in my mind, so thank God that didn’t happen” #RolandGarros #iga
