Arsenal defender Oleksandr Zinchenko believes that the Gunners are back in the title race after their crucial win over Chelsea. Speaking to reporters, Zinchenko stated that the victory has restored the team’s confidence and energy, and the squad is determined to fight until the end to lift the Premier League trophy.

“If you don’t believe, there is no point playing. So of course I do. When I had just arrived I said the quality everyone has here is incredible, the energy as well. So I said everything is possible in this life if we’re going to work so hard. And that’s what we’re trying to do,” said Zinchenko.

The Ukrainian international acknowledged that Arsenal had stumbled at the wrong time, going four games without a win and allowing Manchester City to take the initiative in the title race. However, he stressed that the Gunners are still in with a chance of lifting the trophy, thanks to their never-say-die attitude.

“We worked so hard this season and we were doing so well, we were top of the league for a while, and then suddenly, in this league, anything can happen. We dropped some points. Of course, everyone is frustrated until the Chelsea game. Now we have got three points, I hope the energy is back and let’s see what is going to happen in the next games, because we have some tough games to play,” he said.

Zinchenko also underlined the importance of Arsenal’s supporters, who he said have been a source of inspiration for the players throughout the campaign. “Our fans deserve everything. The way how they push us, that’s like an extra motivation for us to keep going, to keep fighting, and to give everything on the pitch,” he added.

With just a few games left to play, Arsenal will be hoping to maintain their momentum and close the gap on Manchester City, who currently sit top of the table.
