, the Magpies have tabled a verbal offer in the region of €80 million to tempt Raphinha away from Barcelona.
While the Catalan giants paid €65 million, including add-ons, for the winger’s services just last summer, Raphinha has emerged as a top target for Newcastle United after they missed out on signing him last year.
The 26-year-old had rejected an offer from Newcastle United in favor of joining Barcelona. However, after a slow start to life at Camp Nou, the Brazilian has picked up steam in the second half of the season. Despite not being the Blaugrana’s first-choice right-winger, Raphinha has impressed on both flanks, contributing ten goals and 11 assists in all competitions in his debut season.
