Mohammed Kudus has spoken out on Ghana’s 2-2 draw with Egypt in AFCON 2023.
Ghana faced Egypt in AFCON 2023 and played a 2-2 draw on Thursday, January 18, 2024.
Mohammed Kudus returned to lineup for the Black Stars following a hamstring injury.
He scored the opening goal at the 45+3′ minute and later in the game scored a double.
Ghana lost their first group stage game against Cape Verde, and following the draw, they are 4th with just one point.
Speaking after the game, Kudus said: “I’m happy to be back.
“I worked so hard to get back to the top and help my team, my nation. It’s important for me to be here.
“It’s a mixed feeling. As a forward, you want your goals to have an impact on the result.
“We made careless mistakes. Now we’ll have to get back to work, win the next one, and then see what happens.
“We are not out. The objective remains the same, which is to take the trophy home.”
