Arsenal’s impressive form continued as they secured a convincing 4-1 victory over Leeds United in the Premier League on Saturday. Gabriel Jesus, who was making his first league start in almost three months following his long-term injury, bagged a brace, while Ben White and Granit Xhaka also found the back of the net. The win has given the Gunners a much-needed boost ahead of their crucial clash against Liverpool at Anfield.

Mikel Arteta’s decision to hand Jesus his first league start since his injury proved to be a masterstroke as the Brazilian forward delivered an outstanding performance. Although he was substituted after playing for only 60 minutes, the former Manchester City attacker expressed his disappointment at not playing longer but showed respect for the manager’s decision.

“When the ref said to me I was going off, I was a little bit disappointed because I want to play, but of course I respect the manager and the other players as well. So, it was 60 minutes, but I enjoyed it a lot,” said Jesus.

Arsenal will now turn their attention to the much-anticipated clash against Liverpool at Anfield. The Gunners have struggled to secure a win at Anfield in recent years, but their recent form could give them the confidence they need to secure a positive result against the Reds.
