Mikel Arteta has now suggested that Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner could make his debut in the Premier League.
Gunners celebrated a 1 – 0 win over FK Bodø/Glimt in the Europa League on Thursday, with Turner keeping a clean sheet for his side.
Arteta was impressed by the keeper’s performance against the European rivals and shared his high praise after the match.
“He’s improving, he’s getting better, we are demanding things that are different to what other managers have demanded him to do. He was much better in the first half than the second half,” the manager said on Arsenal’s official website about Turner.
Arteta was asked whether he is confident in Turner starting for the team in the Premier League, to which he gave a simple answer: “Yes.”
