Gabriel Jesus will be out for some time now as he suffered a knee injury during the World Cup 2022. In his absence, Mikel Arteta will now relay on Eddie Nketiah more.

“Eddie is always ready. He knows that it opens up a big opportunity for him right now and he needs to grab it, but the way that he trains every day and the mentality he has, he gives us no reason to believe that he won’t be super ready to perform,” said Arteta during a press conference following Juventus defeat.

The Gunners suffered a 2-0 defeat to Juventus in a friendly game on Saturday. Nketiah has taken part in all of Arsenal’s friendly games and has scored one goal.

Nketiah has made 19 appearances so far during this season, in which he has scored 3 goals and provided 1 assist.
