Mikel Arteta has provided an update on Ghana international Thomas Partey, who made his return against Sheffield United.
Thomas Partey made his long-awaited return to the Arsenal squad as he was sidelined with an injury since October.
Partey was out due to a hamstring injury and made his return against Sheffield United.
The Gunners faced Sheffield on Monday, March 4, and celebrated a 6-0 victory in the Premier League.
Ahead of the game, the Ghana international was named on the bench. He played 25 minutes after coming on to replace Jorginho.
Following the game, Mikel Arteta provided an update on the midfielder.
“Thomas is available now to play a certain amount of minutes and he needs to build that,” said Arteta.
“It was his first minutes after four months and like everybody you have to earn the right to play the minutes”.
