Mikel Arteta breaks silence on European Super League

Mikel Arteta has spoken out on European Super League after it was back in spotlight.

European Super League first announced its plans back in 2021, however, the competition was blocked after fan protests and the decision from UEFA and FIFA.

The competition surfaced once again on Thursday, December 22, when it was announced by European Court of Justice (ECJ) that both UEFA and FIFA acted against competition law.

Although, the tournament have came up with a new format the fans and numbers of clubs remain against it.

Arsenal prepare to face Liveprool in the Premier League on Saturday and ahead of the game, Mikel Arteta gave a press conference.

He was quizzed on the ESL, to which he said: “The conversation that we had were very clear after what happened two years ago. I think the club has issued a statement that is very clear and transparent. We’ll stick to that.”
