Mauricio Pochettino has been quizzed on blue cards ahead of Chelsea’s Monday game against Crystal Palace.

The Blues will face Palace in an away league game on Monday, February 12, 2024.

On Thursday, it was revealed as per the Telegraph, that a blue card will be introduced to football as part of ‘sin-bin’ trials.

Is the card is given then the player will be removed from the field for 10 minutes if they commit a cynical foul or show dissent.

Speaking on this rule, Pochettino said: “Difficult to express how I feel about the blue card. Difficult to explain. At the moment, we don’t have much information about that.

“That is going to create more debate. It is going to be more complicated. At the moment, my feeling now is it is not a good idea but we will see what happens.”
