Matthijs de Ligt has spoken out on his future amid Manchester United interest.

De Ligt joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022 and has become a key player for the Bundesliga side.

The Red Devils are currently in search of players who would strenghten the team as United are struggling with results and injuries.

Erik ten Hag’s side have shown an interest in De Ligt, with whom ten Hag worked during his time at Ajax.

Speaking about his future, De Ligt said: “I’m not thinking about that now. I’m very happy at Bayern Munich.

“Of course I haven’t had an easy season so far. I was injured for a long time. But at the moment I feel good and am fit, I want to play.”

He spoke to the reporters ahead of Bayern’s important Champions League round of 16 second leg clash with Lazio.

Thomas Tuchel’s side were 1-0 down following the first leg, however, Harry Kane’s double and Thomas Muller’s goal after de Ligt’s assist, helped Budnesliga side to qualify for the quarter-finals.
