Erik ten Hag has provided an injury update on Marcus Rashford following Manchester City defeat.
Manchester United faced Manchester City in an away Premier League game on Sunday and suffered a 3-1 defeat after opening the score in the 8th minute.
Marcus Rashford opened the scoring at the beginning of the first half, while Phil Foden equalised in the second half.
Foden scored a double in the 80th minute to put City ahead, while Erling Haaland scored the third goal for his side in the 90+1′.
Following the game, Erik ten Hag provided an injury update on Rashford as he was forced off in the second half against City.
“We had two players on the pitch which were not 100 per cent [fit]. Jonny Evans and Marcus Rashford, but they gave everything like the whole team and we are disappointed with the score,” Ten Hag told Sky Sports.
“I don’t know, I can’t tell you Finally they had to come off, but I preferred to keep them [Rashford and Evans] because I think the organisation was very good.
“Rashford defended well, and in the break we know his quality and he could have scored another goal.”
He added: ‘They fought to be part of this game but after 60-70 mins we had to take them off. That was not to our advantage.”
