Newcastle United are increasingly likely to be without key players including Allan Saint-Maximin in their squad to face Manchester United on Sunday in the Premier League.

The Magpies will head to Old Trafford this weekend to face a Man United side, who have won eight of their last ten matches across all competitions.

Manchester United are in high spirit, having won their last three matches since their 6-3 defeat at Manchester City two weekends ago, and will only think about making it four wins on a bounce against Newcastle on Sunday.

However, it appears that their chances of doing so have been boosted by the latest news coming off the Newcastle United camp.

According to Daily Mail journalist, Craig Hope, Allan Saint-Maximin has been ruled out of the clash at the Theatre of Dreams tomorrow due to an injury.

The France star has been a vital player in Eddie Howe’s squad and his absence is expected to thwart whatever chances the Magpies had to salvage something off the Red Devils.

The visitors will also be without Jonjo Shelvey and Isak in their squad, hence handing Man United the green light to press for the three points.

In addition; Manchester United have a short list of injured players. The likes of Harry Maguire, Donny van de Beek and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are ruled out of the game with injury.

Anthony Martial is a doubt for the game after coming off injured in the first half against Everton last weekend in the Premier League. Scott McTominay will miss the game due to a suspension. The Scot received his fifth booking of the season at Goodison Park.
