Manchester United will look to extend their winning run at home to eight matches when they host Everton at Old Trafford in the FA Cup third round.

Man United have won their last seven home matches including wins over Arsenal and Tottenham and Erik ten Hag will become the first United manager post-Sir Alex Ferguson to win eight home matches in a row.

However, there’s a chance Ten Hag could use a weakened squad against Everton, which could eventually salvage his quest for a new record but the Dutchman is smart enough to field a team that is capable of causing the Toffees problems.

Manchester United Team News

Jadon Sancho will miss the game as he’s not returned to the squad yet. Donny van de Beek and Axel Tuanzebe are ruled out of the game.

Predicted starting lineup

Goalkeeper: David de Gea

Defenders: Dalot, Varane, Martinez, Malacia

Midfielders: McTominay, Fred, Fernandes

Forwards: Antony, Martial, Garnacho

Everton Team News

Nathan Patterson, James Garner, Anthony Gordon, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Michael Keane and Andros Townsend are all set on missing the game at Old Trafford.

Predicted starting lineup

Goalkeeper: Pickford

Defenders: Coleman, Coady, Tarkowski, Mykolenko

Midfielders: Iwobi, Gueye, Davies

Forwards: McNeil, Maupay, Gray

Predictions

Prediction one: Match outcome: Manchester United to win
