Harry Maguire is hesitant to leave Old Trafford and is keen to stay and compete for a place in the team under manager Erik ten Hag, according to the latest reports.
This may come as a surprise, considering Maguire’s limited appearances in the Premier League during Ten Hag’s first season in charge.
If United were to sign another center-back, as speculated, Maguire’s position in the squad would be further downgraded.
Despite being dropped from the starting lineup, the England international reportedly prefers to remain at United and is not keen on leaving the club this summer.
There are also suggestions that Ten Hag wants to sell Maguire to finance a move for Napoli’s Kim Min-jae.
Although there have been reports of interest from Tottenham, it is unclear if the prospect of moving there deterred Maguire from leaving United.
While Aston Villa and West Ham are mentioned as other potential options for the defender, United have not received any offers for their captain at this point.
