After a 1-1 draw against Chelsea last weekend in the Premier League, Erik ten Hag’s side are returning to the European competition for a successful result.

In the previous meeting between both sides at the Zimbru Stadium, the Red Devils celebrated a 0-2 victory over the ground owners back in September.

Ahead if the match the Ten Hag received an injury boost as Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Harry Maguire and Brandon Williams all are back training with the rest, Donny van de Beek, meanwhile, still remains unavailable.

Maguire’s comeback could be a green light for the coach following Raphael Varane’s injury against Chelsea last Saturday which rules the Frenchman out three weeks ou four.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s situation, however, is still uncertain. The superstar was dropped out from the squad against Graham Potter’s side last weekend due to an internal disciplinary matter. Therefore, Ten Hag is yet to provide an update on the player’s status in his pre-match conference later today.
