Sources from Romanian publication ProSport suggest that the Red Devils are earnestly seeking to bolster their squad during the upcoming January transfer window, following a challenging season.

In their pursuit of Dragusin, Manchester United is reportedly prepared to make a noteworthy financial commitment. The young defender, often likened to the legendary Nemanja Vidic, has garnered attention for his standout performances in the Serie A.

Under the management of Erik ten Hag, Manchester United is said to be deeply engaged in advanced discussions, indicating a serious intent to bring Dragusin to Old Trafford. Genoa, on the other hand, is expected to stand firm on the player’s €30 million release clause, underscoring the value they place on their prized asset.

This move comes on the heels of Manchester United’s previous links to defenders such as Kim Min-jae, Benjamin Pavard, and Jean-Clair Todibo during the summer transfer window.

Known for his proficiency in the left center-back role and aerial prowess, Dragusin could potentially offer a solution to Manchester United’s defensive concerns this season.

The 21-year-old has demonstrated his defensive capabilities by contributing to Genoa’s three clean sheets this term. Additionally, his versatility is evident with an assist and a goal to his name, showcasing his potential to make a meaningful impact on Manchester United’s defensive setup.

Amidst defensive struggles in the current campaign, it comes as no surprise that Manchester United is actively exploring options for reinforcements in the upcoming transfer window. This pursuit is particularly crucial as key defenders like Jonny Evans and Lisandro Martinez are in the process of recovering from their respective injuries.
