Manchester United is reportedly monitoring Italian goalkeeper Ivan Provedel, despite having signed Andre Onana in the summer.

The acquisition of Onana, a Cameroon international, came with a hefty price tag of approximately £43 million as he made the switch from Inter Milan to Old Trafford. This move followed the departure of David de Gea, whose contract had expired, leaving a void that Onana was expected to fill.

Although Onana faced initial challenges adjusting to his new role at the club, recent performances have showcased his growing confidence, particularly highlighted in his noteworthy displays against Everton on a Sunday evening.

However, the football community remains divided on the verdict of Onana’s tenure at Manchester United. Reports from Football Italia , suggest that the club is actively exploring the possibility of securing the services of Lazio’s exceptional goalkeeper, Ivan Provedel.

Provedel, at 29 years old, earned the prestigious title of Serie A’s best goalkeeper in the previous season, surpassing not only Onana but also Tottenham’s custodian, Guglielmo Vicario. The report indicates that Manchester United’s management may not be entirely satisfied
