Manchester United’s interest in Stuttgart’s Serhou Guirassy has become increasingly evident, with reports suggesting a potential move in the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Red Devils’ pursuit of the striker underscores their desire to bolster their attacking options, particularly given the pressure on Rasmus Hojlund to deliver goals since his arrival last summer.
Manager Erik ten Hag is reportedly keen on securing another forward to alleviate the goal-scoring burden on Hojlund. Despite the Danish star’s recent upturn in form, the club is aware of the need for additional firepower in their ranks.
Sky Sports previously highlighted Manchester United’s monitoring of Guirassy, citing his bargain release clause as a significant attraction. Now, with the transfer fee set at €17.5m for the summer, several Premier League clubs, including Manchester United, are expected to vie for the striker’s signature.
Guirassy has enjoyed a prolific season in the German Bundesliga, netting an impressive 19 goals in just 16 appearances for Stuttgart. His goal-scoring prowess has not gone unnoticed, with Manchester United viewing him as a valuable addition to their squad.
The potential arrival of Guirassy could provide Hojlund with some much-needed breathing space and allow the young forward to further develop his skills under the guidance of Ten Hag.
However, Manchester United may face stiff competition for the Guinea international’s services, with other clubs such as West Ham also expressing interest in securing his signature.
