Manchester United are reportedly battling Arsenal to sign Norwegian wonderkid Sivert Mannsverk from Molde ahead of the January transfer window.
According to French outlet Jeunesfooteux, Erik ten Hag has indicated keen interest in signing 20-year-old attacker who is likened to be the next Erling Haaland as clubs now turn to Molde for Strikers recruitment.
Mannsverk with his fine form has managed to make it into the first team where he has now made 62 appearances for the Norwegian side.
According to reports, Molde are open to letting Mannsverk leave but only for a record fee of 9m which would eclipse Erling Haaland’s 8m transfer record.
On the other hand is Erik ten Hag who has admired the player and after seeing United miss out Cody Gakpo deal, is eager to land Mannsverk .
United will seriously move in for Mannsverk according to MEN as they are eager to make up for the lost Gakpo chase.
With Cristiano Ronaldo gone, the club now claim that there are more money to be invested into player signings and Mannsverk could be their first January arrival.
