Man United have been linked with a move for Napoli defender Kim Min-jae this month and have taken a step closer to signing him by holding a meeting with his representatives.
Journalist Antonio Corrado recently told Fuorigioco on Tele A, that there was a meeting between Kim and an unnamed foreign club who spoke in English at the Paradiso Hotel in Naples back in November, before reports began linking the Red Devils with a move for the South Korean international.
The Gazzetta dello Sport added that “the club in question was Manchester United”. Should this be true, then it seems the Red Devils are willing to splash the cash once more to bolster their defensive ranks.
The Reds have conceded 20 times in 14 games this season, a stat which one can tell is a bad one for a potential league contenders. Varane, Maguire and Martinez have all had a wonderful performance at Qatar, but the Reds seem to want to add to the defense.
Min-jae Kim moved from Fenerbahce to the Italian side, for €18.1m after the club had Koulibaly join Chelsea. The 26 year old has been on impressive, and on a fine form too. Rumors of something serious to come out of the meeting is on ground.
