Man United beat the Cottagers 2-1 at the Craven Cottage on Sunday evening to cut the gap behind 4th place Tottenham to three points with a game at hand after goals from Christian Eriksen, Daniel James and Alejandro Garnacho, who scored late in the game.
About 15 Manchester United players will partake in the upcoming World Cup in Qatar that will start in seven days time and Erik ten Hag, who earlier confirmed that he will watch the competition, has predicted the final outcome of the competition.
The Dutchman said after the end of the competition at least one of his players will return as a world champion.
“The chances are quite big that one of our players (Man Utd) will return with the World Cup trophy,” Ten Hag said after the Fulham win.
Manchester United have at least one players in each of the top favourites that will win the competition in December.
