Harvey Elliott while speaking to the press in preparation for the Carabao Cup Clash against City, expressed his emotions about the injury he sustained last season.
Prior to his injury, Harvey was already gaining some recognitions and praises from the English media for putting such an amazing performance at a young age. Harvey is only 19 years of age and is already completing in the biggest stages of the game.
Harvey on his injury last season: “I had to keep thinking to myself about the position that I’m in, along with a team that has always supported me.”
Elliott: “That kept me going, I couldn’t wait to return to the pitch and make more memories with my team. My family were around me from the day my injury happened. Just to have them by my side really helped aid my recovery.”
Elliott: “Getting back to full fitness and playing again, to put a smile on their faces and to go and show them, as well as show the whole world what kind of human being you are.”
Elliott on his first goal: “My first goal was filled with so many mixed emotions. It was exciting, but I had just lost my Nan recently as well. It was the game after she sadly passed away, so it felt right to dedicate it to her.”
The Liverpool Youngster since coming back from his last summer’s injury has scored some screamers and put in a couple of beautiful assist for his teammates.
