Lewis Hamilton took to Twitter to send a message to Sebastian Vettel after it was confirmed that the four-time Formula One champion will retire at the end of this season.

Aston Martin confirmed on Thursday, that Vettel will retire from F1 at the end of 2022 season.

Following the announcement, the German driver has been receiving messages from the Formula One community.

Lewis Hamilton also took to Twitter and sent heartfelt message to Vettel.

Seb, it’s been an honour to call you a competitor and an ever greater honour to call you my friend. Leaving this sport better than you found it is always the goal. I have no doubt that whatever comes next for you will be exciting, meaningful, and rewarding. Love you, man,” wrote the Mercedes driver on Twitter.
