Levi Colwill spent the previous season on loan at Brighton from Chelsea. The Seagulls were interested in a move for the Blues star.
Liverpool were also interested in signing Colwill this summer transfer window.
However, he has now signed a long-term deal with the Blues and has taken to Twitter to send a message.
“Delighted to commit my future to my boyhood club Chelsea. Im thrilled to be here and excited to be a part of this project,” Colwill wrote.
“It’s been an honour to have been at this club since a 9-year old and I’m dedicated to work with my teammates to bring this club continued success.”
