Liam Lawson will replace Juri Vips as Red Bull’s reserve and test driver this season.
Vips were ruled out of the Red Bull youth program after he allowed a racist insult during a streamer.
Red Bull manager Christian Horner said the parting of Vips would not be a blow to the youth program.
Following the announcement of the parting of Juri Vips, his duties at Red Bull will be taken over by Liam Lawson. There are enough talented drivers in our youth program at the moment. In Formula 2 are Lawson and Dennis Hauger, we have Jehan Daruvala, though now he conducts tests for another team. Ayumu Iwasa also shows excellent potential, – said Horner.
