Brooklyn point guard Kyrie Irving could become a Lakers player in the foreseeable future.
According to The Athletic observer Jovan Bucha, the Lakers are Irving’s preferred option to continue his career.
Kyrie is ready to move to the California team via trade during the upcoming season, or as a free agent in the 2023 offseason.
The Lakers are rumored to be interested in Irving but have yet to reach a deal with the Nets.
Irving, missed most of last year’s NBA season because he refused to get vaccinated. He and the club could not agree on a contract extension this summer, Kyrie decided to use the player option for a 22/23 season, for which he would receive $36.5 million.
