Manchester City and England star Kyle Walker has named Sadio Mane as the hardest opponent he has ever faced.
During his six-year spell at Liverpool, Mane has established himself as a key player in Jurgen Klopp’s squad.
The Senegal international decided to start a new chapter in the summer of 2022 as he joined Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich.
Mane no longer plays for Liverpool, however, Walker admits the attacker is still his hardest rival on the pitch and explains why.
“I would probably say Sadio Mane just because he never gives you a moment’s rest on the ball,” the City man said, via Liverpool Echo.
“I’m not saying the other guys I mentioned [such as Mbappe] don’t! But they probably don’t defend as much as Mane does and save their energy for when they are attacking.”
