Kieran Trippier has suffered an injury and is set to miss Newcastle’s upcoming games against Chelsea and Manchester City.
The Magpies face the Blues on Monday, March 11, 2024 and then Manchester City in the FA Cup quarter-finals on Saturday, March 16.
Trippier suffered the injury during Newcastle’s win over Wolves on Saturday.
Later Eddie Howe confirmed that the defender suffered a calf injury.
“He felt a pain in his calf, we’re hopeful it’s not too bad,” Howe said. “It was good to see him walk down the touchline rather than limp, so we’ll wait and see how bad that is.”
As per Mail Sport, the scans have revealed that although the star’s injury isn’t serious, he is set to be ruled out potentially until the end of the month.
